DJ NELLE (MOVEMENT MUSIC / JOIA / GO DEEVA RECORDS, Warsaw)
She is from the Tricity, namely from Gdynia and currently divides her time between
Warsaw and Paris.
Her romance with mixing sounds started towards the end of 2002 and continues on.
Fascinated with new wave and the punkish climate of the 80's, Chicago-style house of
the early 90's and modern electronic music, Nelle has elaborated her own, original sound.
In her eclectic, energy-filled sets, she mixes with subtlety acid, dirty, electro and house
into one story, undermined by spicy and sexy notes. She has been invited to the best
Polish clubs and regularly performs in many of them: Prozak - Krakow, Hotl, Platinium,
Utopia - Warsaw, Mandragora - Gdynia, Sfinks - Sopot, SQ - Poznań, Rezydencja
- £ód¼... just to name a few of them. Her electrifying DJ sets have won the hearts of many
clubbers, not only in our country, but also abroad.
The success of her first productions has jumpstarted her career into a different dimension
and opened the door to many excellent European and world clubs. Nelle has performed
on 4 official Winter Music Conference 2007 events in Miami Beach (USA), among others
on "We Love House", where she played a set under the auspices of GO DEEVA Records
label, side by side with such artists as Granite & Phunk, SIKK, Joe T Vanelli... and many
others. She has also entered into cooperation with international booking agencies,
thanks to which she has already visited a few clubs in the USA, Italy, France,
Eastern Europe, Austria and she's soon to depart for Egypt and Asia.
The first production of NELLE and STEPHAN M, "Deeper, Harder" was published
in February 2007 under the aegis an independent Italian label, GO DEEVA Records and
made it all the way to the 2 place on the DMC World U.S. House chart (It received very good
reviews by such artists as Noir, Richard Dinsdale, Marke Knight, Dave Spoon,
Philippe B,Ben Macklin (Sucker DJs), Fuzzy Hair, Chris Lake...) Another joint production
of NELLE and STEPHAN M presents, "The Cucumber" has already been contracted by
the Swedish label NERO/JOIA Records, co-owned by Sebastian Ingrosso. "The Cucumber"
is also present on the JOIA WMC Miami Sampler 2007 in the company of productions by
such artists as Danny Freakazoid, John Dahlback, Laidback Luke. ("The Cucumber"
has won the recognition of such artists as: Tiga, Eric Prydz, John Dahlback, Michael Gray
(Full Intention), Fedde Le Grand, Sharooz,Scumfrog, Phunklarique, or Ben Macklin
(Sucker DJs)). The newest project of NELLE & STEPHAN M, "The Whip" has just left
the studio and will be soon released by an independent American label from Chicago,
Movement Music.
DJ NELLE "Made in Poland" - an original mix show by this title can be heard in many
radio stations of the world: Tune FM (Chicago, USA), Bash.FM (Hamburg, Germany),
Radio ABF (Paris, France), OM Radio (Spain), PharaRadio (Egypt), Stream FM (Bulgaria)
and, thanks to cooperation with Proyecto Factoria (Spain) also on the air of many
other stations. In her weekly radio programs, Nelle presents the latest promos,
newest productions and remixes as well as everything that heats up the Polish
and foreign club floors. A DJ NELLE Podcast is also available for all the Ipod fans.
